As Graduation day approached at University of East London (UEL) Sports dock, the production team needed to ensure that light sources were controlled for the event. In order to achieve this, the UEL team asked us to come up with a permanent solution that would meet these specifications for future occasions. We selected a white, double-sided block out film with a permanent adhesive to help maintain clarity throughout the day. But here was the tricky part, how could we install these films throughout the arena in the limited time available? We soon tackled this issue, devising a high level access plan utilising state-of-the-art equipment such as the Mobile Tower, Scissor Lift and Truck-mounted boom. With the help of these tools, we were able to complete the task in under a week, perfectly transforming the arena for the Graduation day event. Overall, we provided a modern and innovative solution for a problem that arises every few months, leaving the UEL team satisfied with a permanent and sleek result.
